Junior IT Engineer | Bedfordview

Our client, is a software development company specialising in the design, development and delivery of technology solutions. Their IT environment supports the internal development operations as well as the technology infrastructure and end users of other businesses.

• Google Workspace: Administer and support the full suite across multiple businesses, including Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Calendar, Meet, Chat, user accounts and access management.

• Desktop Support: Install, configure and troubleshoot Windows and macOS devices, applications and peripherals.

• Networking: Assist with wired and wireless networks, Wi-Fi infrastructure and connectivity troubleshooting.

• Endpoint Security: Assist with SentinelOne endpoint protection, security monitoring and device compliance.

• Patch Management: Deploy, monitor and verify operating system, application and security updates across supported devices.

• IT Operations: Manage support requests, incident response, change management, user onboarding and IT asset records.

• CCTV & Access Control: Provide basic technical support for CCTV and access control systems.

• AI & Cloud: Use ChatGPT, Claude or Google Gemini for troubleshooting, research and documentation, with opportunities to develop cloud computing skills.

• Development Environment Support: Assist with basic IT infrastructure and technical support requirements for our software development teams.

Essential:

• Google Workspace (entire suite) administration and support

• Windows and macOS troubleshooting

• Networking fundamentals, both Wired and Wireless

• General hardware, software and IT security knowledge

• Basic understanding of patch management and software updates

• Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini

Advantageous:

• AWS fundamentals or AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner

• SentinelOne endpoint security

• Ubiquiti UniFi networking

• Hikvision CCTV and access control

• Basic scripting or automation

• Familiarity with software development environments

• CompTIA A+
