IT Officer

About the Company

A leading Manufacturing company is seeking a competent, hands-on and results-oriented IT Officer to support and strengthen its IT operations, infrastructure, systems and cybersecurity environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the availability, security and effective functioning of the organisation's IT infrastructure, hardware, software, networks and related technology systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day IT support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, connectivity and user-related IT issues.
• Diagnose and resolve computer, printer, operating system, email, internet and other IT-related problems.
• Install, configure, maintain and troubleshoot computer hardware, peripherals and software.
• Manage and support LAN/WAN networks, switches, routers, Wi-Fi and network connectivity.
• Support implementation and maintenance of appropriate IT security and cybersecurity controls.
• Monitor and maintain endpoint security, including computers, laptops and other connected devices.
• Support perimeter security measures such as firewalls, network access controls and related security infrastructure.
• Assist in identifying, investigating and resolving cybersecurity incidents and vulnerabilities.
• Provide basic technical support for the organisation's ERP system, including user issues, access, configuration and first-level troubleshooting.
• Coordinate with ERP vendors or external technical support providers when issues require escalation.
• Develop, maintain and publish interactive dashboards and management reports using Microsoft Power BI.
• Create, format and publish digital content, reports, presentations and other business communication materials.
• Support the integration and maintenance of surveillance systems, including CCTV and related network infrastructure.
• Assess IT infrastructure requirements and assist with IT infrastructure sizing based on organisational needs.
• Evaluate and recommend appropriate hardware specifications for computers, servers, networking equipment, storage and other IT infrastructure.
• Install, configure and implement new hardware and software systems.
• Participate in IT infrastructure upgrades, system implementations and technology projects.
• Maintain proper documentation of IT assets, network infrastructure, configurations, installations and licences.
• Maintain an up-to-date IT asset and equipment register.
• Assist with data backup, recovery and business continuity arrangements.
• Ensure IT systems and equipment are maintained in accordance with established procedures and security requirements.
• Liaise with suppliers, service providers and technology vendors when required.
• Provide user guidance and basic IT training to employees.
• Keep abreast of emerging technologies, cybersecurity threats and IT best practices.
