Business Intelligence Lead

We are looking for a business-oriented Business Intelligence Lead to support Zalo's commercial performance and growth. The role combines data analytics, business understanding, and market intelligence to help identify growth opportunities, improve commercial performance, and support data-driven decision-making.

You will work closely with Commercial Team Leaders and cross-functional teams to analyze business performance, develop data-driven KPIs, understand market trends, and translate insights into practical recommendations.

What you will do

• Analyze Business Performance: Analyze revenue, customer behavior, product performance, and sales funnel data to identify growth opportunities, performance gaps, and key business drivers.
• Support KPI & Target Setting: Work with Commercial Team Leaders to develop KPIs, performance targets, and benchmarks based on historical performance, customer potential, and market trends.
• Conduct Market & Customer Analysis: Combine internal data with external market intelligence to understand industry trends, customer needs, competitor activities, and business opportunities.
• Deliver Business Recommendations: Investigate performance issues, identify root causes, and recommend practical actions to improve revenue, customer retention, and upselling/cross-selling.
• Build BI & Reporting Solutions: Develop and maintain dashboards, business metrics, and automated reports to provide reliable and timely insights.
• Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work with Commercial, Product, and Business Operations teams to understand business needs, communicate findings, and support data-driven decisions.

What you need

• At least 4 years of experience in Business Intelligence, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, or a related role.
• Good business acumen, with an understanding of revenue drivers, customer behavior, commercial performance, and market dynamics.
• Experience analyzing business performance and translating data into actionable recommendations.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python (e.g., pandas, NumPy) for data analysis.
• Experience with BI and data visualization tools such as Metabase, Tableau, Power BI, or Apache Superset.
• Understanding of data modeling, data quality, KPI definition, and reporting automation.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and data storytelling skills.
• Good communication and stakeholder collaboration skills, with a proactive and ownership-driven mindset.
• Good working proficiency in English.

Nice to Have

• Experience in B2B business solutions, MarTech, digital advertising, media, or platform-based businesses.
• Experience supporting KPI and target setting, sales performance analysis, revenue forecasting, or commercial planning.
• Familiarity with market research, competitor benchmarking, customer segmentation, and sales funnel analysis.
• Experience using AI tools to improve data analysis, reporting, and productivity.
