Corporate Affairs and Project Management

• Support the planning and end-to-end execution of strategic Corporate Affairs projects and government-related initiatives.
• Act as a central coordinator across teams including Government Affairs, Marketing, Operations, Corporate Communications, Business Development, Legal and regional stakeholders.
• Develop project plans, timelines, action trackers, briefing materials and status updates.
• Coordinate deliverables, identify risks and follow up with stakeholders to ensure timely execution.
• Support the preparation of proposals and presentations for strategic partnerships and external collaborations.
• Assist with the planning and delivery of events, programmes and stakeholder engagements, including logistics, branding, content and communications.
• Track project outcomes and prepare post-project reports, including key learnings and recommendations.
• Provide regular updates to management on project progress, challenges and results.

Corporate Communications

• Support the development and execution of communications plans to strengthen Shopee’s reputation in Malaysia.
• Draft and coordinate communications materials, including press releases, media responses, key messages, briefing notes, talking points, speeches and internal communications.
• Support the localisation of regional narratives and campaigns for the Malaysian market.
• Assist with media engagement, including media list management, interview coordination, briefing preparation and follow-up.
• Monitor media coverage, public sentiment and relevant industry developments, and flag potential opportunities or issues.
• Support proactive storytelling around Shopee’s business, sellers, local initiatives and broader contributions to the Malaysian ecosystem.
• Work with internal stakeholders, regional teams and agency partners to ensure clear, consistent and accurate messaging.
• Apply sound judgement when handling sensitive or high-risk communications, escalating issues where necessary.

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing or a related field.
• At least 2 years of relevant working experience; experience in Corporate Communications, Public Relations, project management, stakeholder engagement, marketing or a similar role is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with good attention to detail and the ability to tailor materials for different audiences.
• Able to prepare clear presentations, track project information, and work comfortably with PowerPoint / Google Slides, Excel / Google Sheets.
• Strong organisational and project coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Confident and comfortable working with internal and external stakeholders, including cross-functional and regional teams
• Analytical and solutions-oriented, with the ability to identify issues, track progress and follow through on actions.
• Experience in media relations, event, issues management or integrated campaigns is an advantage, as is experience in a corporate, technology, e-commerce or agency environment.
• Interest in technology, digital platforms, e-commerce and the wider business environment.
