Role Overview:
We are looking for an experienced IT Infrastructure Project Manager to lead enterprise infrastructure projects, with a strong focus on data migration, infrastructure transitions, cloud technologies and storage platforms.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing infrastructure projects across different environments, coordinating technical teams, managing project timelines and dependencies, and ensuring successful delivery within agreed scope, budget and quality standards.
Candidates should possess strong project management, stakeholder management and risk mitigation skills, along with a solid understanding of enterprise infrastructure and data migration methodologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end IT infrastructure projects, from discovery and planning through execution, validation and project closure.
- Manage data migration and infrastructure transition projects across enterprise environments.
- Develop project plans, schedules, resource allocations, milestones and delivery roadmaps.
- Coordinate with infrastructure, storage, cloud and operations teams to ensure timely project execution.
- Manage project risks, issues, dependencies, escalations and change requests.
- Oversee migration planning, cutover activities, validation, rollback planning and post-migration stabilisation.
- Ensure effective stakeholder communication, project reporting and delivery governance.
- Track project progress against timelines, scope, quality standards and agreed deliverables.
- Manage projects across both large-scale enterprise environments and smaller infrastructure engagements.
- Maintain project documentation, including migration plans, runbooks, checklists, status reports and closure documents.
- Ensure minimal disruption to business operations during infrastructure migrations and transitions.
- Work closely with technical teams and stakeholders to resolve delivery challenges and maintain project continuity.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 8 - 12 years of total professional experience, with substantial experience in IT infrastructure project management.
- 5 - 8 years of project management experience, or equivalent relevant experience in infrastructure delivery.
- Strong hands-on experience managing IT infrastructure projects.
- Proven experience in data migration, infrastructure transitions and cloud technology projects.
- Previous experience in the IT infrastructure industry.
- Strong understanding of project planning, execution, risk management and delivery governance.
- Experience working with cross-functional technical teams and enterprise stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, coordination, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver projects within agreed timelines.
Technical Skills - Preferred:
- Storage technologies: Dell PowerMax, PowerStore, PowerFlex, PowerScale, VxRail, ECS, ObjectScale and APEX.
- Data migration tools: Carbonite Migrate, Secure Copy and Datadobi DobiMigrate.
- Infrastructure platforms: Windows, Linux, UNIX, VMware and Hyper-V.
- Cloud technologies: Exposure to enterprise cloud migration and infrastructure environments.
- Migration methodologies: Discovery, analysis, design, planning, execution, validation, cutover and rollback management.
- Project methodology: Strong hands-on experience with Waterfall project management; exposure to Agile methodologies is an advantage.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience managing enterprise data migration and storage transformation projects.
- Exposure to Dell storage systems, data centre infrastructure and virtualisation technologies.
- PMP, PRINCE2 or other recognised project management certifications.
- Experience working with enterprise customers and geographically distributed technical teams.

- A delivery-focused IT Infrastructure Project Manager with strong technical understanding of storage, cloud and data migration projects, capable of managing complex infrastructure transitions, coordinating multiple stakeholders and ensuring successful project delivery.
